SRE engineer

For our SRE team, in IT department, we are in search of: SRE engineer. You will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of production systems and services. You will design and maintain infrastructure solutions that support high availability and automation, working closely with software and system engineering teams.

Opis pozicije

  • Design, build, and maintain scalable, reliable, and secure infrastructure in production environments.

  • Develop and manage monitoring, alerting, and incident response systems.

  • Automate operational tasks through scripts and configuration management tools.

  • Collaborate with development teams to design systems with reliability and performance in mind.

  • Manage and optimize CI/CD pipelines for seamless deployments.

  • Identify and eliminate performance bottlenecks and system failures.

  • Participate in on-call rotations and help manage incident resolution and postmortems.

  • Drive continuous improvement of system observability, scalability, and efficiency.

Uslovi

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a technical field (Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline).

  •  Minimum 7 years of professional experience in similar roles, with the ability to transfer and apply acquired knowledge to related areas in a new environment.

  • Strong expertise in operating systems administration (Linux, Windows Server, VMware) with deep understanding of system performance, availability, and scalability.

  • Hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes – 3+ years), including deployment, monitoring, and troubleshooting.

  • Advanced knowledge of database systems (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MS SQL, MariaDB) and proficiency in shell scripting for automation.

  • Proven experience with monitoring and observability platforms (Nagios, Grafana, Prometheus) and performance optimization practices.

  • Solid background in Cloud environments (IBM, AWS, GCP, Azure) with experience supporting and maintaining services in production.

  • Familiarity with Python programming, virtualization platforms (Hyper-V, VMware, Xen), and distributed storage systems (iSCSI, SAN, FCoE).

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills combined with proactivity, integrity, and effective communication.
