Subotica receives pitch dedicated to Violeta Slović

She dreamed of the game, trained to win, fought for respect. She is much more than the captain of WFC Spartak and the national team. She is a modern superhero in cleats, a player who turned down the famous Real Madrid to strengthen the foundations of women's football in Serbia.
For her, football is much more than a game. More than fame, more than money.
She plays on emotion, inspiration, pure love. She plays for every little girl who believed she could. And proved that it is fact.
"I did not just play football, I was paving the road for all those who are to come," Violeta Slović said at the opening ceremony of the mini-pitch in her honor.
The leader of Spartak and the Serbian national team took the opening shot at the new football field next to the City Stadium in Subotica. The sixth mini-pitch within the Mozart Foundation's action "Football is more than a game" has been renovated within the complex of the City Stadium, and it will be completely open to all recreational players, but also to young hopefuls who want to follow in the footsteps of Violeta and her teammates.
"This project represents the realization of my dream and my wish is for the pitch to become a place of gathering and sportsmanship for all of us. I want to thank the Mozzart Foundation for their selfless support, their commitment to the development of sport and community is inspiring. I believe that this pitch will be a place where many generations will grow, learn and develop through sports. Let this pitch become a symbol of unity and friendship, "said Violeta Slović, the first winner of the FAS Golden Ball.
She also completed her vast trophy collection with a symbolic "golden cleat" presented to her by the manager of the Mozzart Foundation, Borjan Popović, in gratitude for the enormous contribution to the development of women's football.
A large number of girls played football at the opening ceremony in her honor, and the Mozzart Foundation rewarded every goal, assist and beautiful move at the humanitarian match of Spartak and Kerver Academy and donated the entire fund of RSD 300,000 to the younger categories of WFC Spartak for the further development of women's football in this champion city.
"This is a special day for Subotica, WFC Spartak, women's sport. Thank you to the Mozzart Foundation, this is not an ordinary terrain, this is a space for memory, inspiration. Violeta was and remains the captain, leader and role model, "emphasized Bojan Arsić, Secretary General of the Spartak FC.
The reconstruction of this field is also part of the wider project "Football is for everyone, football is for girls", within which the FAS and Mozzart have in recent years empowered young ladies across the country to put on cleats and break down prejudices. The highlight of the joint initiative is the opening of the first mini-pitch in Serbia dedicated to a female football player.
Sixth mini-pitch field in Serbia
Previously, in 2024, four playgrounds were donated, which are dedicated to Serbian coach Dragan Stojković Piksi (Niš), national team players Aleksandar Mitrović (Smederevo) and Strahinja Pavlović (Šabac), as well as Red Star ace Aleksandar Katai (Srbobran). In 2025, that honor went to Adem Ljajić in Novi Pazar, and the project will soon continue in other cities.
