Mozzart Foundation donates neonatal respirator to Tiršova

In moments when every breath is a struggle, and every breath is a hope – life begins in the silence of the incubator. It is precisely this silence, which can be more difficult than words that the Mozzart Foundation decided to give its voice and support by donating a modern neonatal respirator to the University Children's Clinic in Tiršova, where the most emotional stories of medicine are written on a daily basis. Thanks to this donation, which is one of the largest individual investments of the Mozzart Foundation in the health system of Serbia, doctors will have even stronger allies in their hands – technology that can save the lives of the youngest of patients.
Neonatal respirator is often crucial in the care of premature and severely ill newborns. Its modern technology enables precise and gentle respiratory support at an age where seconds are precious.
"The neonatal respirator is a very important device for the operation of our clinic, we received it two days ago and it is already in operation and one newborn is connected to it. It is a device that replaces the function of the lungs in babies, the most dire of patients. This is a modern, contemporary appliance and we owe a great debt of gratitude to the Mozzart Foundation for this donation", said Prof. Siniša Dučić, MD, director of the University Children's Clinic.
Tiršova is the most important children's hospital in Serbia and a reference institution for the most difficult pediatric cases from all over the country, but also from the wider region. A huge number of patients pass through it every year, and its teams fight every day for the lives of the youngest.
“This is a state-of-the-art artificial ventilation device, very compatible with other devices applied to newborns for mechanical ventilation. It is very important for the University Children's Clinic to have such an appliance, "added Dr. Jasna Kalanj, a pediatric specialist.
A loyal friend of health care
Just last year, the Mozzart Foundation donated numerous medical devices to institutions across our country. This year, help arrived at the address of the General Hospital in Čačak, where the laboratory is fully equipped, free thyroid examinations were organized as part of the "Your thyroid, your shield" caravan, which visited 14 cities and within which 3,567 examinations were performed. Donations are also planned to the General Hospital in Prokuplje and the Health Center in Aleksinac.
